Martin Sawers - Introduction
I offer psychotherapy, counselling and supervision in the Chew Valley, Bristol, and have also previously worked at GP surgeries in Slough, Bracknell and Bristol, and in NHS Talking Therapies from 2012 to 2025. After a language degree, and a degree in Psychology with the Open University, I trained in Postural Integration with Jack Painter. In 1997 I gained the Diploma in Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy, having trained at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy & Counselling (BCPC). Alongside a private psychotherapy practice, I worked in GP surgeries as a Primary Care Counsellor in Bristol, Slough and Bracknell and have worked with trainees from courses in Counselling Psychology (Roehampton University) and Humanistic & Integrative Counselling (BCPC) on placement in GP surgeries, helping with their training and development.
